Solutions: Alternative Install Locations

Some racks are made for spaces beyond standard floor/wall-mount:

  1. Inside Cabinetry or Millwork:
    • Pull-out Racks (LPOR, LPTR): Equipment can be mounted out of the way, while still allowing easy access when needed with pull-out style racks.
    • Welded Rack (LCR): One of the most popular designs, the sturdy LCR welded open frame rack can be used as a stand-alone or in millwork.
  2. Under Desk or Counter:
    • Studio Rack (LPSR): An ideal solution for small studios, the LPSR is out of the way but rolls out for access. The angled front allows users to view controls from a seated position.
  3. In-Closet Wiring:
    • Swing-gate Wall Racks (SR, SGR): These open frame wall racks provide extraordinary access when they swing open to provide full access to wiring and gear.
    • Small Install Wall Racks (HUB, PFR): Perhaps the most economical solution for patch panels, routers, switchers and small hubs mounted in secure areas, the frames pivot or swing for access.
  4. Vertical Equipment Mount:
    • Vertical-hold Wall Racks (LTR, LTCR): These have two compartments with the main one holding equipment vertically until needed. Front tilts-down for access.
    • Vertical-hold Wall Cabinets (RCC, RCCD): Low profile cabinets secure networking equipment with minimal intrusion into room. Two mounting bays with the larger one holding equipment vertically.
